August, 2007 -RollCall
now supports tracking for entities that provide funds to the school such as
lenders, donors and fundraising.
Use the [Shift] and [Control] keys on the Registration lists to register several students at once
for a class / several classes at once for a student. If there are fees associated with the registration, you can create an invoice for each student registering for a class, or a single invoice for a student with all class registrations.
Student and Class Maintenance windows have a new button called "Change" that lets you change records
as a group. Change classes with Registration Open to Closed, or Results Open to Closed or change students from one status to another.
RollCall now supports centralized invoicing for umbrella organizations that
sponsor several students or families with more than one student at your school.
March, 2007 - Now see Instructor and
Administrator office hours on the calendar with colored background to
indicate availability. Record Attendance and Exams with new spreadsheet
windows. See more detail for attendance with calendars and lists
supporting attendance percent and recorded hours. Schedule appointments
with Prospects with follow up points and view on Administrator
calendars. Track marketing source for Prospects, and view performance
through to Student tracking. Invoice tuition contracts on entry and send
payment notifications - see the payment schedule on Administrator
calendars. RollCall Application Server now has a web portal for
affiliated groups to track their student's performance -including
preregistration.
December, 2006 - RollCall
Application Server lets you connect students/parents and instructors to
their information. Students can register for classes on-line, view their
calendar of classes, tutoring sessions, exams and events, keep track of
attendance and grades all from their home computer. Instructors can record
grades and attendance, view their calendar and setup exams at their
convenience. And, if you have remote or traveling administrators, RollCall
Application Server provides identical access to the central database for
administrative functions. You can even move your whole server to an
off-site location!
October, 2006 - Calendars
keep improving - now you can set up holiday calendars and see the
the current exam schedule on student and instructor calendars. There's a
new registrar activity center that supports pre-registration processing.
August, 2006 - In RollCall, compare two
calendars side-by-side. Use the new Week view, in addition to Month and
Day view to manage your school. Assign students to affiliated businesses
or organizations to track corporate contracts. Setup Facilities as clinic
rooms or residences to track client appointments and accommodation
assignments for your business.
July, 2006 - Setup and assign registration
types to student registration. You can charge different fees for different
registrations, and optionally skip recording attendance or awarding credit
for the class.

RollCall's history... Calendars! View an interactive calendar for the
school, for a student, for a class, an instructor or a facility location.

May, 2006 - RollCall expands the interface with
QuickBooks® by passing Instructor hours for teaching and
tutoring/one-on-one sessions directly to QuickBooks® Payroll. Accumulate
Instructor hours while recording attendance and one-on-one session
results, automatically transfer those hours to QuickBooks® Payroll.
March, 2006 - "Know as you Go"
released for RollCall. It's a multi-media presentation system that helps
you, your staff and new administrators learn how to manage your school
more efficiently - at your own pace.
January, 2006 - RollCall update for automatic
connection to QuickBooks 2006 editions. Invoices from RollCall are
automatically forwarded to QuickBooks, payments are exchanged between the
two systems, and Student information updated for both systems.
October, 2005 - RollCall update released with
additional options for tracking hours for exams, an Attendance Monitor for
workstations to allow students to log themselves in and out for classes
and functionality for recording hours for instructors.
August, 2005 - PowerVista Bridge development
IDE is released with new options for creating windows from styles, an
updated Resource Editor with additional options and faster parsing.
July, 2005 - RollCall now tracks Instructor
'skills inventory' to create a comprehensive list of teaching
qualifications - great for accreditation and certification processes. More
options for recording attendance, including partial hours and hiding
Late/Excused sessions. Use tutoring sessions as Makeup hours for missed
classes.
June, 2005 - RollCall adds Contacts management, with automatic update from email, Activity Reporting and Word merge from the Reports function.
Manually add telephone and personal meeting contacts. Associate Classes with Facility locations and equipment for printing custodian reports.
Partial payment processing for Student contracts and on Payment entry (Invoicing Tasks).
Student Status values now track an 'old' value and a change date. Select students by changes to Student status values (a student changing from a Distance learner to a Campus learner, for example).
Printing of pre-printed Certificates using Word merge functions is now supported.
Certificate printing can be tracked automatically using Student Qualifications. April,
2005 - RollCall adds tracking of customized data by student. Define any number of criteria - from vaccination history to vehicle licenses - and track all the information about the student.
Lists that display a picture in the upper right-hand corner (it's a starburst with a red center) will display a 'dashboard' with advanced list options when you press the 'starburst' button. You can turn off / on column display, perform multi-level sorts and export the list's data to a text file for merging into a word processor or direct export into Excel (you must have Excel
installed).. handy for filling out specific forms and making specialized spreadsheets.
The Degree Program area now has generic reporting functionality. This is good for printing status reports and progress reports.
March, 2005 - RollCall adds enhanced attendance
tracking, and displays the total number of scheduled sessions, the number
of sessions held to date and the number of sessions that have been
recorded. The current attendance percent for each
student is shown on various windows. Added a graphical display for
attendance. Added Activity Reporting to print reports by student for new
students, registration, setting up Tutoring sessions and assigning final
grades. There are two new user-defined student status fields. Added
multiple grading scales -each scale can assign a different GPA point
scale. Expanded class types to add Seminar and
Perpetual. Seminar classes only require a single attendance to be marked
as
complete - perfect for introductory or Orientation sessions.
January, 2005 - RollCall added the capability to schedule client appointments and use evaluations as
a Class Exam. It also has options for tracking payment
contracts for tuition from students. Allows recording attendance by a morning and an
afternoon session. Set a variable number of
hours by class for attendance. New options to 'check
all' for attendance and registration. A different way of
looking at the menu structure on the navigation window.
November, 2004 - RollCall
supports one-to-one relationships for tutoring, coaching, personalized
training or mentoring. Setup goals and track results by overall tutoring
relationship and/or by session. Assign individual tutors or coaches,
with times and locations. Use the updated scheduling functionality to view
a complete schedule for each student. If you charge for each session,
RollCall supports automatic invoicing by individual instructor. The
tutoring hours automatically add to tracking data for state and federal
reporting.
October, 2004 - PowerVista RollCall is updated for
Prospective students and an enhanced ability to track complex student
information such as experience resumes and multipart test scores (such as
SAT scores).
August, 2004 - PowerVista RollCall adds NRS reporting
capability for adult education and literacy programs and is updated for
Facility rental, merchandise Point of Sale, internal email capability and
PDF file generation.
July, 2004 - PowerVista releases GlobalFamily,
a small application for volunteer organizations that manage post-adoption
communities of international families.
March, 2004 - PowerVista releases RollCall for larger
organizations that use networks, offering Student and Instructor Views for workstation
access.
February, 2004 - PowerVista releases RollCall,
the first of a planned line of comprehensive applications for selected
vertical markets. This is a membership/student management application. It
is the first example of Software
Built for Change.
January, 2004 - PowerVista releases a major update to
PowerVista Bridge development environment for more
powerful connection to MySQL, Access and SQLServer is released.
April, 2003 - PowerVista Bridge is posted on a variety
