Sample Applications

Each of the sample applications are contained in self-extracting archives. To use them, click on the link to download the file, then run it to start the extraction process. We suggest you extract the files to a new folder that is a sibling of the PowerVista "include" directory. Otherwise, you may have to modify the IncludePath property in the "project.pvp" file.

Two Ways to Use a List to Add Records
This is a small application that tracks attendance at swimming lessons. It demonstrates how to use a standard List with RelatedRows using a Child property and a Matrix List to insert new records. This is a shareware application that automates the process of finding a new job. The released shareware version can be downloaded from our web site. The link below will download the source to your computer for making personalized changes to the application. This application demonstrates how to incorporate COM connectivity in your software to provide embedded linkage to third party software such as Microsoft Word or Excel. The zip file includes the compiled application Help file for reference. We can be induced to provide the help source so you can document your changes (just e-mail a request!).
