PowerVista Bridge is a comprehensive database application development system. There are two Editions of PowerVista Bridge:   

PowerVista Bridge Standard Edition provides everything necessary to build and deploy complete single-user database applications on the Microsoft Windows platform: Forms, Lists, Trees, Business Graphs and our Report Writer. It includes the PowerVista single-user database engine. This database has all of the capability of a commercial ODBC database, but supports a single user. 

PowerVista Bridge Enterprise Edition includes everything in PowerVista Bridge SE, as well as multi-user database connectivity to all the major SQL database engines, including MS SQL Server, Access, Pervasive.SQL2000, DBMaker, Oracle, Sybase, and Informix. This edition enables you to deploy multi-user client/server applications on a local area network. You can develop your project from the start using the Enterprise Edition. Or, if you have completed development using the Standard Edition, change the target database engine, and operate your application - unchanged- on an ODBC database. 

PowerVista Application Server transforms your PowerVista Bridge Application with no effort into an Internet/Intranet database application. PowerVista Application Server solves the problem of deploying database applications over low bandwidth connections. It includes PowerVista Application Browser, which allows users to access database applications using Internet and Intranet connections. PowerVista Application Server requires an Enterprise installation of PowerVista Bridge (it cannot be used as a single user-product).

PowerVista Applications are developed using PowerVista Bridge. They are commercial applications and solve various business problems best addressed by traditional client-server applications. They make use of PowerVista Bridge's ability to be deployed as a single-user installation, a multi-user/networked installation and also served over the Internet/Intranet as distributed applications.
